How Aircraft Flies The 4 Forces

If you are a cabin crew, nobody will blame you if you are not able to explain the four forces that are acting on a flying aircraft. I had stumbled on a good and simple video that explains the four forces.

The video explains it as there are 2 pair of forces.

I pair are acting along the longitudinal path of the aircraft, the thrust of the propeller or the jet and the drag. Drag is caused by the friction of the air on the aircraft.

The other pair of forces is the lift and weight. The weight is caused by the gravity of the earth. The lift is produced by the wing, as air foil travels across the air producing low pressure on top of the wing, the higher pressure at the bottom will provide the lift.

The video will provide the cabin crew with the basic foundation on how an aircraft flies.
