It does seem that AirAsia is in the expansion mode. This is based on the vacancies advertised for cabin crew as well as the other positions. It is noted that Malaysia Airlines has not been advertising for vacancies for nearly a year.
The followings are the listed vacancies in the AirAsia webpage.
The focus is on the the locations for the three location of the interview for cabin crew.
I am sure that, more jobs will be made available. Another developments that affect the future of the airline are... the decision to move the corporate office to Indonesia and the creation of another low cost airline Malindo. If I were Tony, I would not worry about Malindo, being driven by Nafi and knowing the Nafi is controlled by ex-airforce, its fate would be like Air Rod, the MRO which barely creating a mark in aircraft maintenance works.
