Delivery in flight

There were cases of babies being born in flight. In fact the cabin crews, male and female, are both had been trained to deliver baby at 35,000 feet.

I had seen them being trained, there use an expensive dolls, the one that can cry and odd enough, the dolls can simulate deliveries. But simulation and real delivery is a vast different. So when the real situation happen, the crews are suppose to fetch for doctors, if none, then ask for nurses. These people are professional to deliver babies However the there are none, the crew have to get their uniform stained in blood.

I found video on the story of baby that was born on Kuwait Flight 411.

It does appear that the persons handling the post delivery were not cabin crew. They were medical professional.

The airlines need to at least send letter of appreciation to those involved. A free ticket is very welcomed.

So the cabin crew, especially the purser, or inflight supervisor, has to make a point to bring up this matter to the management meeting and make it the standard operating procedure.
