Airhostess Training - Safety Procedures

A number of reporters from The Time Magazine went to visit an airhostess Training premises. He witnesses the actual training procedures that the crew normally undergo. In fact he had the chance to practice it himself.

1. The emergency evacuation procedure.
The airhostess, demonstrate how the command to evacuate should be made.

2. Fire extinguishing practices
The visitor tried the fire mask but of course did not have the opportunity to empty the extinguisher onto real fire.

3. Ditching exercise
The crew had to put on the life jacket and jump into the pool. They had the chance to inflate the jacket.

Note:

Airhostesses are required to be on flight mainly for safety reasons. In emergency situation, they are responsible for the safety of the passengers. In fact the airhostesses had underwent special training on hoe to handle emergency situations. All of them had been trained and certified competent.
