British Airways Braces for another series of cabin crew strike

It was reported yesterday that the BA cabin crew is starting another 5 day strike in a strong protest  against the cost cutting measures taken by the management. Earlier the company announced a record breaking annual loss of $613 millions for the financial year ended 31 Mac 2010.

Given the situation, many may not be in agreement with the action taken by the striking crews. The region had just got over the problem of volcano ashes which incurred millions of dollars loss.

These are the arguments/reasons of the striking crews:

a. They accused BA of of vindictive attitude when the management revoked strikers' low-cost travel - a cherished cabin-crew perk - and took disciplinary action against striking workers.

These are the responds from the manage
a. BA said it had already offered to reinstate travel concessions to cabin crew - which see them pay just 10 percent of normal fares to commute to work from across Britain or continental Europe - once all elements of its offer were implemented, but it accused Woodley and the union of reopening issues which had been settled.:

The public are upset with the crew. Some expressed their surprises as they thought that the BA crews are being paid the highest among the British Crew. The crew should be grateful that they still have a job given the economic situation today.
